Meet the presenters:
Shayla Carey an Actuarial Assistant at Allstate Insurance Company with two years of experience pricing personal lines insurance products. She is a graduate of Drake University with a BSBA in Actuarial Science, International Business, and Quantitative Economics. She previously held multiple actuarial internships including in Life, Health, and P&C. She currently lives in the Chicago area with her husband, where she enjoys mountain biking, thrifting, and DIY home improvement projects.
Simon Llaguno is a junior actuarial science major at Temple University. He is a student ambassador for the CAS and the Director of Public Relations for Gamma Iota Sigma, a student organization for actuarial science and risk management majors. He is also a member of the Business Honors Student Association and an ambassador for the Honors Admissions Transitional Team. Currently, Simon is a catastrophe modeling intern at Everest Insurance.
Jack Richards is a Business Analyst within Deloitte Consulting’s Actuarial & Insurance Solutions (AIS) practice. Jack’s prior experience includes seven actuarial internships at five companies across the P&C, Life, and Health industries. Additionally, while attending Drake University, Jack was the national student representative for Gamma Iota Sigma, an actuarial science business fraternity, and actively volunteered for the Casualty Actuarial Society through the CAS student ambassador program and other initiatives.
